The Apple TV 4K was released in September 2017 and is quite large, but we are never satisfied with what we have now. Instead, we are looking forward to the next version of the Apple TV: the sixth generation of the model, which we expect will appear now in 2020, along with a new video streaming service that Apple is said to be launching. Apple TV follows the ’hobby’ product( as Steve Jobs once described). In other words, Apple will never transform television as Steve Jobs told his autobiographer.

New features

Apple Tv

The new Apple TV is likely to feature a wide range of new hardware features, which we summarize in the section below.

You can also expect some of the improvements of tvOS-the iOS version that works on the Apple TV. It was introduced with the Apple TV in 2015 and brought with it the Apple TV from the store. The security device can help the company reach the masses with its new video streaming service that launched in March 2019.

AirPod support from Siri

it is possible to use Bluetooth headphones with Apple TV, but there are some limitations as to how Bluetooth devices can be paired, especially if one of them is an audio accessory. You can at least pair the Apple AirPods, but unfortunately you can’t activate Siri on the Apple TV via the AirPods-something we imagine will change in future updates.

Facial Recognition

Apple’s recent forays into facial recognition technology find use in the unlocking method used by the iPhone X. Some, however, suggest that the technology could also come to the Apple TV. A future Apple TV could include face recognition technology so that once your Apple TV ’sees’ you could automatically pull your preference for music and TV.

Game controller

Apple currently offers the remote Siri with the Apple TV. There have been calls for Apple to make its controller for gaming on the Apple TV, especially since some players feel that the games available for the Apple TV are hampered. However, Apple insists that the games work with the remote Siri, but it is unlikely that Apple could develop its controller.

Specifications

Here is what we are waiting for in terms of the Apple TV 6 specs of updates.

Large Hard Drive

Given the 4K capabilities on the latest Apple TV, we considered that an increase in storage allocation was likely, but instead it comes in the 32GB and 64GB models, the same as in the 4th generation model.

we hope that Apple will add a 128GB offer at some point, and it is conceivable that a 256GB version can be added. Mind, we suspect that Apple customers do not need much, because they are streaming content and content storage in iCloud.

Processor

The 4K Apple TV needed a faster processor, and of course has an upgrade of the A8 chip highway. It started with the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus in September 2014 the A10X merger. Another improvement is the possibility of the sixth model.

Apple Tv

Price

You can get a 32GB 4th generation Apple TV for $184. This model was released in October 2015.

The new Apple TV 4K currently sells for $220 (with 32 GB of storage) or $245 (64 GB). Although the Apple TV 6 price has not yet been confirmed at this point, their next generation of Apple TV is likely to be priced at a similar point.

however, the information is suggesting that Apple could offer a cheaper form of Apple TV dongle that could compete with Fire Stick and Google Chromecast.

Release Date

The official release day of the Apple TV 6 has not been announced yet. However, few rumors are pointing to the fact that it may be released mid of 2020. A famous leaker by the name Jon Prosser shared a tweet stating that the new Apple 6 tv will be ready to be shipped out from the 7th of May. Despite this statement, we are still waiting for the release of the new Apple 6th Generation TV.
