Editorial Policy

A useful guide should help you decide what to do next. iPhonePedia covers iPhone, iPad and the wider Apple ecosystem through tutorials, explanations, reviews and news. We aim to make the requirements and consequences as clear as the steps themselves.

Start with the reader’s question

For a setting or troubleshooting article, we explain which device or software version the advice concerns, what you need before starting and how to check the result. Where a step can remove data or change account access, that consequence belongs beside the step. A guide should also say when a problem calls for Apple or a qualified repair provider.

Older articles remain part of the archive. Their publication dates matter: menus, product availability and support terms can change. An archived guide is not a promise that the same procedure works on every later version.

Where the facts come from

We look first to documentation, release notes, developer material and statements from the organization involved. Reporting from another publication can provide context, but the source should be identified. We distinguish an announced feature from one that is available, and a report or rumor from a confirmed change.

Our own screenshots, measurements or hands-on findings are described as such only when we actually obtained them. Manufacturer images and official screenshots retain their attribution. A review based on published information must not imply that the writer personally tested the product.

Editorial review and responsibility

AI tools may help organize research or prepare a draft. Our authors check the sources and material facts, revise and assemble the text, and review it before publication. The named author remains responsible for the finished article. A detector score does not replace these checks or establish accuracy or authorship.

We do not invent quotations, personal experiences, test results or exclusive information. When a source leaves a question unanswered, we explain that limit rather than filling the gap with a guess.

Commercial interests and recommendations

iPhonePedia is an independent publication and is not affiliated with Apple. A product mention is not an instruction to buy it. Recommendations should explain the relevant trade-offs, requirements and available evidence. Paid placements, sponsorships or affiliate relationships must be disclosed where they apply; they do not turn a company’s claim into an independently verified finding.

Corrections and reader feedback

If a step no longer matches your screen or a fact appears wrong, use our contact form. Include the article address, the sentence or step at issue, and the device and software version when relevant. Avoid sending passwords or private account material.

We review substantive reports against the available evidence. We correct errors we can establish and explain material changes where needed so that readers can understand the correction. Changing a date alone does not make an older article newly tested.
